Friday Night Life for Tallahassee Residents and Visitors
One of the great perks of living and working in Tallahassee, FL is the fact that we have a block party every Friday night before an FSU home game and access to art shops and studios every first Friday of each month. Yes, it is true, here in Tallahassee!!!
The “Downtown Getdown” is a pregame tradition your entire family can enjoy. The block party offers live music performances, dancing, great food and merchandise from local vendors, and lots of games and activities for everyone. The “Downtown Getdown” takes place from 6pm to 10pm on the Adams Street Commons (between the DoubleTree Hotel and Andrew’s Bar & Grill).
Every first Friday of each month residents and visitors can also attend the First Friday Gallery Hop at Railroad Square. This is a lively event where artists exhibit their work, there’s live music, refreshments, and often times performances by the belly dance studio (that’s also located in Railroad Square).
