Behind the scenes
How did Wells Brothers Bar & Grill get its start? The restaurant is owned and run by Matthew and Adam Wells, Tallahassee brothers who came up with the concept together. Between their 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, they had dreamed up this establishment for a long time which makes it a very special restaurant today.
You’ll find Matt in the back cooking because he cooked for many years in restaurant kitchens and at home. He likes to include some of his favorite foods on the menu which are some traditional items and some items with a twist, such as the chili. Adam is the one you’re likely to see running the operations because he has a history of waiting tables, tending the bar, and managing restaurants.
The Menu
What does the menu at Wells Brothers look like? Most people stop in to build a burger, which includes your choices of:
- Meat which includes all beef patties, vegan garden burgers, and chicken breast
- Toppings such as pineapple rings, sautéed onions, house made coleslaw, and more
- Premium toppings like bacon, Uncle Monk’s Chili, and house made chicken salad
- Cheeses like Swiss and creamy Havarti
- Super toppings like ha, and pork
- Sauces like the port wine mayo, tangy horseradish, and the dill mayo
- And the bread including the Kaiser Roll, Thick sliced Sourdough, Thick sliced Rye, Wheat Berry, and gluten-free Kaiser
Pair it with a draft beer, a bottled beer, or a glass of wine. You’ll also find delicious homemade shakes.
If burgers aren’t your thing, try the Hawaii 5-Ooohh! Pizza, the Mexican Quesadilla, the Kickin’ Chicken Sandwich, a refreshing salad, or a mouth-watering appetizer before a Funnel Cake dessert.
